How to Use This Online Document Scanner

Use this online document scanner to prepare digital copies of paper documents from photos or images already saved on your device. You can review each page, adjust its edges, apply an image mode, change the page order, and export your finished scan.

Add Images or Take a Photo

Select JPG, JPEG, or PNG images from your device. On a supported device and browser, you can also use the camera to take a document photo. Camera access may require permission and a secure connection.

For clearer results, place the document on a flat surface, use even lighting, and make sure the entire page is visible in the photo.

Adjust, Rotate, and Arrange Pages

Review the page preview before exporting. You can adjust the document corners, rotate a page, reorder pages, or remove pages you do not need.

If the page edges are difficult to distinguish, adjust the corners manually and check that important text, signatures, stamps, and table borders remain inside the selected area.

Choose a Scan Mode

Choose an image mode based on the type of document and the result you need. You can keep the original appearance or use one of the available image treatments.

Review the result before exporting, especially if the document contains small text, handwritten notes, colored stamps, or shaded tables.

Download Your Scan

When your pages are ready, choose Save PDF to combine them into a PDF document or Save images to download the processed images.

Check the final file before closing the scanner. Your work remains in the current browser session, and refreshing the page or leaving it may remove your progress.

Create a PDF from Multiple Images

Have photos of a document’s individual pages? Select the images, arrange them in the correct order, and export them as a single PDF.

This is useful when preparing a multi-page form, a set of receipts, class notes, printed handouts, or other paperwork from existing photos.

Before downloading, check the page thumbnails to confirm that every page is included and that the order is correct. Clear photos with visible page edges generally produce more readable results.

Use a Document Scanner on Your Phone or Computer

You can use the scanner from a compatible mobile or desktop browser. On a phone, take a photo using the available camera option or select an image that is already saved on the device.

On a computer, choose existing JPG, JPEG, or PNG images. You can then review the pages, adjust their corners, change the order, apply an image mode, and export the result.

The camera option depends on your device, browser permissions, and connection. Selecting existing images is an alternative when camera access is unavailable.

Choose the Right Image Mode

Different documents can benefit from different image treatments. The available modes let you review and prepare the page before saving it.

Original

Keep the original appearance of the selected image when you do not need an additional image treatment.

Auto Enhance

Apply the available automatic enhancement to improve the appearance of a document photo while retaining color. Check the result to make sure small text and important details remain visible.

Clean Background

Use the available background treatment when you want to change the appearance of the page. Review the result carefully if the document contains light text, colored marks, signatures, or shaded areas.

Grayscale

Convert the image to shades of gray. This can be suitable for many printed documents and notes that do not need to retain their original colors.

Black & White

Convert the page to black and white. This can work well for text-heavy pages, but check small characters, signatures, stamps, and shaded tables before downloading.

The best mode depends on the original photo. No image treatment can guarantee that every detail will remain readable, so review the processed page before using the exported file.

Supported Image Formats and Limits

The document scanner accepts JPG, JPEG, and PNG images. Each image can be up to 20 MB, and one scanning session can contain up to 30 pages.

If an image cannot be added, check its file format and size. Large images may take longer to process depending on your device and browser.

For the best results, use clear images with readable text and visible page edges. If a page looks incorrect after processing, review the preview and its corner settings before exporting.

Private, Browser-Based Document Scanning

Selected document images are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to this website’s server for scanning or export. You do not need to create an account to use the scanner.

Your current pages and editing progress remain in the browser session. Refreshing the page or leaving it may remove that work, so download completed files before closing the tab.

Processing images in the browser is separate from ordinary website requests or information you choose to send through another feature, such as an email to support.

For sensitive documents, inspect the downloaded files and store them in a location you trust.

What This Doc Scanner Can and Cannot Do

This document scanner helps you prepare image-based document copies. It supports page adjustment, rotation, reordering, image modes, PDF export, and image downloads.

It does not currently provide built-in optical character recognition (OCR) to extract text from an image or create a searchable text layer in a PDF. If you need searchable text, use an OCR tool after preparing your scan.

A scanned image may look different from the original paper document. Always review the finished file before relying on it for an important purpose.
